Drum separators
The air separator separates the material into light and heavy fractions. Sorted material is loaded into the separator from the conveyor belt. The fan creates a stream of air into which the sorted material enters. The heavy fraction falls onto the conveyor belt. The light is pulled into the expansion chamber of the drum separator and falls onto another discharge tape. Excess air is blown out of the expansion chamber. This air stream is again directed to the cyclone separator. The drum separator uses only 20% of the air flow through the dust extraction system.
